Richmond, VA– Eileen Filler-Corn, Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates, released the following statement on the Virginia Senate’s passage today of gun violence prevention legislation that previously passed the House.
“Today’s votes by the Virginia Senate get the General Assembly closer to keeping our promise to take robust and meaningful common-sense steps to keep firearms away from those who would do harm to themselves or others.
The House of Delegates looks forward to working with the Senate over the remaining days of the 2020 legislative session to make sure we do all we can to make our communities safer from senseless gun violence.”
